Using Truclose Pool Gate For Safety And Security

By Frances Barnes

Home pools are becoming more and more prevalent in private homes. This necessitates caution and processing steps to make their pools safe for loved ones, both young and old. Using the Truclose Pool Gate is one surefire way to ensure this safety. It addresses the most common error in safety.

In young children, drowning is the leading cause of death. These drownings do not have to happen. Perimeter fencing and special gating are precautions that work to avoid the deaths. Pool gate closings are one safety feature that really work. Many times a gate assumed to be closed is not. The closings secure the gate against unauthorized people and children being able to enter. Often, a gate is automatically closed and fastened so that it won't reopen, keeping children and others safe.

Leaving a latch open, whether intentionally or by accident, is the most common way of violating safety. It is an easily preventable problem, though. A person watching a child into the house, or with a hand full of items to carry, may not notice that it did not close if they have a regular closure. However, the magnetic closure will always close on its own, meaning higher safety.

D&D technologies made a significant advancement in pool safety with the invention of their magnetic latch. This afforded much greater safety for both children and adults. In the beginning they were the only company offering this product to the public and helping promote consumer safety.

The company formed a Pledge to encourage people to focus on better safety around water. They encourage children to agree to never get in the water without an adult present. Adults agree to keep a watch on children in the water, learn CPR, and to be sure their pools are safely protected with adequate fences and gates.

The U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission protects the lives of consumers and their families from a product that may not be safe. Over a trillion dollars annually is caused by unsafe products. They have helped with decreasing this cost over the past 40 years. Pool products are one of the areas they are responsible for, as well as many other consumer products.

Besides being considered the leader in producing fencing hardware, D&D Technologies are the founder of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. They go above minimum safety codes in their products. They manufacture pool gates in many colors to match the colors of their fencing. Their gate hardware, besides just being beautiful, exceeds safety requirements. They exceed these standards in their fence, ornamental iron, and access control products. The colors available are black, white, brown, tan, and wood and metal colors such as bronze and stainless steel.

D&D was greatly enhanced when one of their owners, David Doyle, discovered a rare earth magnet that remained magnetized indefinitely. This made it ideal for a magnetic latch that greatly increased safety. It was far above anything at the time. Their company was founded in Australia in 1980, and was a family owned company that far surpassed any other companies so far as safety was concerned.
