How To Prepare For An Aquatic Facility Assessment

Public pool owners can relate to the struggle of maintaining their properties. Maintenance should be done all the time to make sure that the place is presentable and worth the visit for guests. Assessments are done not only to ensure safety but for the owners to know what they have to improve in their facilities.

Your goal as the owner of the place is to pass all the assessment that will take fold. Before the said event, you have to prepare for it if you really want to pass that assessment. Below are helpful tips that will help you ace in the aquatic facility assessment.

You have a lot of things to do for this, unless if you are sure that everything is in perfect condition. The inspector will be bringing along a checklist on what to check on your property. Meaning, all of those written on the checklist is what you should be looking into, so make sure you are prepared.

Check your resort if all is in its great shape. Structures must all look good. If there are already cracks visible fix it. When the paints of the buildings are starting to fade or wither out, paint them again. Inspect thoroughly, if there are damages or broken things and equipment, fix it or replace them with new ones.

The pool. The center of your business is your pool if it is broken this could affect your business as you cannot have it used when problems are visible. Inspect the entire thing that is responsible for making your pools work and make sure that there are no possible damages that will occur and do some prevention.

Hire a lifeguard. This is not an option but a necessity. Not having a lifeguard is a big no no. The law states that in order for a facility to operate aquatic facility, a lifeguard must be present. Lifeguards as the name implies will guard the pool to prevent from people from drowning and to help those who are about to drown. Without one is pretty dangerous.

Security of the place. Bad things usually occurs during unexpected moments, CCTV are a great help in implementing security in a property. So, you should have a CCTV with a person in charge to it. Not only that, the whole area must be secured to avoid injuries and any kinds of accidents that might happen.

Due to possible accidents that could happen, clinic is needed so there will be a place where patients will be attended. Not having one is a violation to the law. There could be a serious accident that may happen and while the ambulance is not there, first aid is necessary. Make sure you hire a good medical staff that knows to handle various situations.

Your staff will also be observed. They will see if truly you have great working staffs that knows what they are doing and is good with customer interaction. So, you have to inform your staff about this and train them to be working their hundred percent all the time. If you do all this, you will surely pass the assessment.
