Why You Want Or Need The Septic Tank Pumping Ca Contractors Can Do For You

By Helen Jackson

The septic tank you have in your yard is vital for the health of your home and family. It collects and distributes all of the waste water you flush down the drains. It must be kept maintained, as clean as possible and working correctly in order to provide this safety. That is the main reason you may need the septic tank pumping CA contractors do to assist in keeping you safe.

This system works quite well when it is operating properly. It is constructed out of plastic or fiberglass, usually. It has one or two chambers. The pipe, bringing the waste water from your house is attached and leads into it toward the top.

All of the dirty water, from the house, will flow through the pipe and fall into the container. The many solids will go to the bottom and all liquids will float on top. The liquids will become more as the solids react with natural enzymes. More liquids are added by the pipe and more liquids are generated by the chemical reactions, so, as they grow and get close to the pipe connected to the top of the container on the other side, they flow out.

The inflow pipe, from the house, might get clogged due to many things. These things could be something flushed down the drain that gets caught or it could be a tree root breaking through. A shifting of the land could also break this pipe and cause some issues. This needs to be directed to a plumber to come in and deal with this.

When the liquid level gets to the outflow pipe, it exits this container and flows into the drain field. This field is composed of a perforated pipe, gravel and some soil that is good for drainage. It will move through this medium and go to the ground water system. The things that can go wrong, with the entire system consists of three areas. Inflow and outflow pipe and the drain field.

Plumbers are needed to fix any issues with the inflow pipe. This usually means a snake or power flushing. The unit itself may need additional enzymes to ensure the continuous forming of liquids. The drain field needs major yard work, usually with a backhoe and a couple of guys standing around. Getting the tank pumped out could be part of the process for any of these issues.

When this process is needed, a large pump truck is backed up as close as possible to the tank and the lid is dug down to and lifted off. Several lengths of hose are connected and attached to the pump inlet and the pump turned on. These hoses are usually about five feet long and they will connect as many as necessary to get into and down to the bottom of the tank.

With the pump truck removing all of this material from your tank, a hose, using fresh water and a brush on a long pole, will be used to rinse off the tank, on the inside. This will help return the tank back to a condition that will begin the process all over again. This means the crew will get it pumped out, cleaned and ready for another load of enzymes to get your septic tank ready to go to work, properly.
