By Ryan Meyer

Being a breeder is another level of cat lover. This is taking the love for felines on to a level of in depth knowledge by making sure that their species continue to be properly domesticated. The job of being a breeder is not as easy as it sounds.

Most pure breeds have great temperament but would require a lot to maintain in mint, show worthy condition. Siberian cats make a great choice since they are very playful fluffy majestic angels. There are many great Siberian Cat breeders Georgia that has a great variety of Siberian cats.

This is an expensive hobby to take up. This is also not the road to a business and fast money. The expenditure on food, medical bills, supplies and so on are very high and may not even break even with the initial investment. To gain a substantial amount of money in breeding means that the breeder is already renowned in the community.

The Siberian feline is a great choice to be a breed expert on. These felines are known for their beauty, great health and exceptional temperament. Know every detail that there is to know about the cattery one is planning to build. Pay close attention to their bone structure, bloodline and genetic history. It always pays to ask other breeders for advice.

Learn from those who have been in the cat breeding business for a long time. Finding them can be a bit difficult though. But once there has been an established connections with the people in the community it should be easier to build a reputation that can be of good use in the long run.

Feeding the litter, cleaning and grooming are responsibilities that someone as basic as a cat owner has. This triples in the least when one is a breeder. Taking care of the litter can be a full day job if the feline is pregnant or just gave birth. Expect that time will be eaten up by the fur balls for a time until they get sold.

Consider the damage that might be done to the house. If one is considering to take up this hobby, then there is some extensive knowledge on life with cats as pets. Fur everywhere is expected since Siberians are know to shed a good amount. About four out of five stars. Feline bodily substances from time to time be found in random places, so it best to expect it.

Do not buy too many felines to breed, as a beginner. One female should be enough to test the waters of breeding. One can always find a male of the same breed to mate the female. At the event that there is both male and female, separate them so the male cannot go to the female anytime he wants. This can result to too many kittens that may not be attended to.

Finding a stud, or a male cat can be difficult especially if one is looking for a specific type of the breed. Breeders with a stud also ask for mating fees and other documents that will make sure that the female feline is free of dangerous illnesses such as feline AIDS and leukemia. Looking for the perfect mate may have the breeder travel far and wide, if necessary.
