By Domingo Townsend

Installing HVAC requires understanding more about the system and its activities. It is a cooling and heating system that is developed to fitting structures. Many designers go for this system since it provides a comfortable environment. Here are steps involved in St Augustine HVAC repairs and installation services.

First and foremost, you should know a total load of your house. This is an important process as it guides on the size of the system that you will purchase. There are software provided online which can help in working out the calculation. There are several benefits that are provided by going for the right size of the system. One of them is that your room will be effectively cooled.

Take your time to look at the area where the fan coil unit should be located. Garage and attics are suitable for the location. However, you should ensure the location is free from any environmental aspects. Closed areas such as a basement, closet, and utility rooms are also good for the fan location. The fan units are available in two major categories such as horizontal and vertical systems.

The return air vent ought to be positioned in a good location. Some areas that you should avoid placing the return duct include dining room, kitchen and living room. The fan goes through a cut opening which is made in accordance with the return air duct size and dimension.

Another step involves the construction of platform depending on the fan coil size. It is advisable using half inch plywood to construct the platform. For excellent performance, you should use the isolation strips provided. The fan coil should be suspended. There should be no direct connection between the rod and the fan coil unit.

Below the fan coil unit, the supply plenum ring should be placed. To acquire space for the plenum ring, you should move the fan coil towards the periphery of the platform. The ring gasket should be attached to the fan coil before locating it in supply plenum ring. There should be an attachment of the condensate drain to the fan coil. You should pay attention to the instructions that come with the condensate drain. Connecting the drain to enclosed drainage system should be avoided.

The condensing unit located outdoors and the fan coil located indoors should be connected to each other using refrigerant lines. When undertaking various tasks such as trapping, installing and charging of the condensing unit, it is important adhering to the manufacturers instructions. The tees, elbows, and branch should be located some distance away from the fan. When using few elbow and tees, the pressure drop within the system will be minimal.

Take time in selecting the location of room terminators. Adhere to the specifications provided when installing the terminators. Supply tune installation is the last step in this process. Sharp bends should be avoided in the supply tubing.
